Dr. April Madu was raised in Gonzales, Louisiana. She is a Family Practice Physician trained in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment. She attended Xavier University of Louisiana where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biology. She obtained her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at the New YorkCollege of Osteopathic Medicine of the New York Institute of Technology, and completed residency in Family Practice at St. Petersburg General Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Dr. Madu is board certified and recertified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, and began working in telemedicine in 2016. Her favorite part of working in telemedicine is the ability to extend patient care outside of the traditional office space providing greater access to patients.
