What’s included in the Body Program?
With access to revolutionary semaglutide (GLP-1) medication, ongoing provider care, and lifestyle coaching, we set you up for long-term success by arming you with the tools you need to lose weight—and keep it off.
Ongoing provider care
You’ll have 1:1 access to a Ro-affiliated healthcare provider that you can message any time. Want to discuss your treatment plan or progress? Optional consultations via video call (up to 24/year) are included in the cost of the program.
Insurance coverage support
Getting medication covered through insurance can be a headache. Our insurance concierge partners will help to get the cost of your medication covered.
Access to GLP-1 medication, like Ozempic, Wegovy, or Saxenda
GLP-1 medication is clinically proven to help people lose weight. It works by making you feel fuller, reducing cravings, and helping your body process sugars more efficiently. (Medication cost is not included in the Body Program monthly cost.)
Metabolic test
Through a lab test, we’ll learn how your body’s working right now. Why do we do this? Because losing weight is about your body’s biology, not just your willpower.
You can use your insurance to take your lab test at a Quest location (which accepts most insurance) or purchase an at-home blood collection kit from Ro. In certain states where Quest is not available, we’ll send you an at-home blood collection kit at no extra charge.
Dedicated health coach
Your personal health coach is just a message away and is here to offer expert advice. They’ll help you get the most out of the program as well as giving encouragement and support when you need it.
Weight loss tips and strategies
Every week we’ll send you an email with expert tips and strategies on lifestyle, diet, exercise, sleep, and more. Learning these healthy habits will set you up for long-term success.
Our insurance concierge partners will work to find you coverage for medication.
Here's how they'll do it:
Liaise with your insurance
We know this can be a headache, so the team will take care of communicating with your insurance company. They’ll even handle the paperwork.
Explore every option
The team will look into the medication options that are right for you. If you get denied for one medication, they’ll look for other options that are clinically appropriate for you. And, once approved, the team will send your prescription to your preferred pharmacy.
Find solutions to get you started
If your insurance doesn’t cover the cost of your medication, the team will see if there are patient access programs that would help reduce your out-of-pocket cost. If you want to explore cash pay options, they’ll help you figure out the available options in your area.

Weight loss FAQs
How much does the Ro Body membership cost?
The Ro Body membership costs $45 for your first month, then $145 thereafter.
Please note that the cost of GLP-1 medication is not included in the membership cost. Medication cost will depend on your treatment and personal insurance coverage.
How much does Zepbound cost?
This depends whether you’re prescribed Zepbound single-dose pens or vials.
For Zepbound pens, insurance coverage and copays will vary depending on your plan. Our insurance concierge will work with your provider to determine your coverage for GLP-1 medication and, if necessary, submit a prior authorization request for you. If you’re paying cash, Zepbound pens cost about $1,050/mo. If you have commercial insurance, you may be eligible for a discount through the manufacturer. Learn more about the Zepbound savings card here.
The savings card program doesn’t apply to Zepbound single-dose vials, which are available as a cash pay-only offering:
$349/mo for 2.5 mg dose
$499/mo for 5 mg dose
$499/mo for 7.5 mg and 10 mg doses (with manufacturer offer)
More on the manufacturer offer: LillyDirect is offering the 7.5 mg and 10 mg doses of Zepbound vials at a discounted $499 price—for first fills and refills.
To keep this discounted price for 7.5 and 10 mg refills: You must complete your next refill check-in within 45 days of your last delivery.
What happens if you miss the 45-day window? You’ll be charged the full price of $599 for a 7.5 mg refill or $699 for a 10 mg refill.
We'll send you reminders to complete your refill check-in as the 45-day deadline gets closer.
These medication costs are separate from your Ro Body membership ($45 first month, $145/mo thereafter), which includes our insurance concierge, provider visits, ongoing coaching, and anytime messaging. Learn more about pricing here.
Will my insurance cover my GLP-1 medication?
Ro’s insurance concierge will work with your insurance provider to determine coverage for your GLP-1 medication. Please note that this medication is paid for separately from your Ro Body membership, which is only available by cash pay only and does not accept insurance.
Currently, Ro can’t help coordinate coverage for GLP-1 medications for government insurance plans — but depending on your plan, you may still be able to pay out of pocket for certain cash-pay medication options. If you have Federal Employee Health Benefits Program (FEHB), you can join the Ro Body membership and access our insurance concierge.
What if my insurance doesn’t cover the medication?
If for some reason your insurance will not cover the cost of your medication, you’ll have the option to either select from cash pay medication options or you can cancel your Ro Body membership at any time.
What can I expect after I sign up?
After you complete your online visit, a Ro-affiliated healthcare provider will review your answers and determine whether treatment may be right for you. Depending on your health review, your provider may ask you to take a metabolic lab test. If appropriate, your provider will discuss GLP-1 medication options and recommend a personalized treatment plan.
