Erica Garza


Erica Garza is a writer and researcher specializing in sexual and behavioral health. Her work draws on reported research and interviews with clinicians, therapists, educators, and researchers to help make complex and often stigmatized health topics more accessible.

In addition to Ro, her work has appeared in TIME, Health, VICE, Salon, Glamour, and other publications. She is the author of Getting Off, a New York Times Editor’s Choice memoir exploring sexuality, addiction, and recovery.

Erica holds an MFA in Nonfiction Writing from Columbia University, a BA in English from UCLA, and a Narrative Therapy Certificate from the Vancouver School of Narrative Therapy. She is based in Los Angeles.
