Over 50% of women experience hair loss at some point in their lives*
Yes, that's the majority–meaning you're not alone.
Let's tackle stigma with science and understand more about hair loss.
The hair growth cycle
Most of the time, about 90% of your hair is in the active growing stage (called the anagen phase) and stays in this phase for 3–6 years. Then there's a transition (catagen) phase for 1–2 weeks, and finally, the hairs enter the resting (telogen) phase for 2–4 months. Then, those hairs fall out, and the cycle starts again with new growth.
Everyone loses hair–we actually lose up to 100 strands each day. But, when people notice more hair in their hairbrush or left on their pillow than normal, that's when they seek treatment for hair loss.
Types of treatment
Depending on your health history and the type of hair loss you're experiencing, certain treatments may be more appriopriate than others. Start a free online visit with a US-licensed healthcare provider to see if a personalized treatment plan is right for you.
