What ingredients are in Ro Mane Spray?
The active ingredients in Ro Mane Spray are minoxidil 6%, finasteride 0.3% and tretinoin 0.025%. The inactive ingredients are propylene glycol, citric acid, glycereth-5 lactate, isoamyl laurate, and ethyl alcohol.
Finasteride and minoxidil are two ingredients that individually regrow hair in as little as 3–6 months, combined into one treatment. Tretinoin enhances the absorption of minoxidil.
What should I expect when using Ro Mane Spray?
If you use Ro Mane Spray daily and as directed:
You may see results in as little as 3-6 months, but it could take longer to see the full effects.
You may experience shedding during the first few weeks of treatment. This is normal and, while it might cause some worry at first, it shouldn’t be a reason for you to panic or stop treatment. Extra shedding will resolve as the new hair grows in (usually in about a month).
If you don’t see improvement after 6 months of consistent use, you can message your provider to talk about adjusting your treatment plan.
If you stop using Ro Mane Spray, hair growth progress will stop as well.
Is Ro Mane Spray safe to use with my other hair care products?
Yes, it works with any hairstyling routine. You should let the product dry on the scalp completely before applying another product. We do not recommend use of any other products that contain topical finasteride, minoxidil, or tretinoin on your scalp while you are using Ro Mane Spray.

What’s the difference between minoxidil and finasteride?
Finasteride and minoxidil work by different mechanisms. Finasteride protects your hair follicles from a hormone called DHT that can make hair follicles shrink and lead to hair loss. Minoxidil, on the other hand, is thought to increase the growth phase of hair follicles.
Does minoxidil work better when combined with finasteride?
Because they work in different ways, topical finasteride and topical minoxidil are often combined to attack hair loss more comprehensively. Oral finasteride is also frequently used with topical minoxidil.
What’s the difference between topical and oral finasteride?
Oral finasteride (generic Propecia) is FDA-approved for male pattern hair loss and taken as a 1mg tablet once per day. Meanwhile, topical finasteride is a compounded medication intended for hair loss treatment, and is not FDA-approved.
Topical finasteride contains the active ingredient found in the oral medication, but it’s applied to the scalp using a spray instead of taken as a tablet. Oral finasteride treatment has been shown to stop hair loss in 83% of men with male pattern baldness who took it for two years.
Newer research shows that topical application is also effective; a 2022 randomized controlled trial found 0.25% topical finasteride significantly improved hair counts compared to placebo and its effect on hair density was similar to that of oral finasteride after 24 weeks.
