Melissa Hunter, NP

Nurse Practitioner

Melissa Hunter is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with a passion for preventive health, nutrition, and patient-centered care. She began her academic journey at the University of Maryland, College Park, earning a degree in Communications before pursuing her nursing career. Over the past decade, Melissa has gained hands-on experience across urgent care, dermatology, and telemedicine settings, most recently serving in clinical leadership roles at innovative digital health companies.

Melissa is deeply committed to expanding access to healthcare and was drawn to Ro for its forward-thinking approach to weight management and longevity. She brings a warm, empathetic style to patient care and is particularly excited about helping patients achieve sustainable health goals through GLP-1 therapy.

Originally from the East Coast, Melissa now lives in Carlsbad, California with her husband, two young children, and their 11-year-old golden retriever, Huxley. She enjoys hiking, exploring the beaches of San Diego, cooking nutritious meals, and traveling with her family.
