Based on survey results of 1,243 Ro members taking GLP-1 medication for at least 7 weeks, paired with diet and exercise.
Average weight loss in 1 year is 15-20% (vs 2.4-3.1% with diet and exercise alone). Based on studies of branded medications in non-diabetics with obesity, or with overweight plus a weight-related condition, with diet and exercise.
You’ve seen the ro.co TV spot—now it’s time to get on Ro in the real world. Whether you want to check your insurance coverage or prefer to pay cash, we can help. If you're eligible for medication, we take care of any paperwork and back-and-forth so you can focus on your health goals.
Answer a few questions about your health and goals, all online—no in-person doctor’s office visit necessary. You’ll find out if you’re eligible within 2 days
A provider will review your info and prescribe the right GLP-1 treatment for you, if eligible. Get ready for your first shot in two weeks if using insurance; or, less than a week if paying cash.
Ro navigates insurance on your behalf to see if coverage is available for your GLP-1s. If using insurance, Ro's insurance concierge submits all paperwork on your behalf. If you're covered, a prescription is sent to your pharmacy. If not, Ro will fight for your coverage or provide the alternative GLP-1 options right for you. This process takes about 2-3 weeks.
If prescribed, your medication ships right to your door or can be picked up at your pharmacy. Once prescribed, you could take your first shot in less than a week.
Keep making progress with regular check-ins, expert guidance, and access to your care team 24/7. Ongoing care and support is there for you when you need it—whether it’s a quick chat with your provider or routine check-ins, we’re with you every step of the way.
If you’re paying cash for your medication, it will typically be shipped to you in 1-4 days. If using insurance, you’ll get your prescription from your preferred pharmacy. Medication costs are not included in Ro Body membership pricing.
You’ll have everything you need, including on-demand provider messaging, personalized medication adjustments, and expert guidance on what to expect on your journey – all as part of your membership.
Zepbound and Wegovy are FDA-approved for weight loss. Ozempic is FDA-approved for type 2 diabetes treatment, but may be prescribed off-label for weight loss at a healthcare provider’s discretion.
The Ro Body membership costs $45 for your first month, then $145 thereafter.
Please note that the cost of GLP-1 medication is not included in the membership cost. Medication cost will depend on your treatment and personal insurance coverage.
Insurance concierge services for the cost of medications are provided through the Ro Body membership. Our partners will work directly with your insurance provider to help with the process of determining coverage for your GLP-1 medication, which is paid for separately from the Body membership. Ro does not accept insurance for the Body membership, which is cash pay only.
Ro can’t help most government health plan beneficiaries get coverage for GLP-1 medications — but depending on your plan, you might have options. Those enrolled in Medicare, Medicare Advantage, or TRICARE can become a Ro Body member and pay cash for select GLP-1 treatment options. Also, those who have a plan through the Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB) program can enroll and try their insurance or pay cash for medication. Unfortunately, those enrolled in other government health plans (e.g., Medicaid or VA) are not eligible for the Ro Body membership at this time.
What’s the difference between Zepbound pens and vials?
Zepbound pens and vials are the exact same FDA-approved medications and are available in the same doses. This means that whether you take Zepbound via a syringe or pen, both dosage forms have the same efficacy and side effects. On average, people on Zepbound lose 20% of their weight in a year.*
Key differences:
Zepbound vials are administered with a syringe and vial, while Zepound pens are prefilled autoinjector pens.
Zepbound vials can be shipped conveniently and directly to you from the LillyDirect partner pharmacy, while Zepbound pens can only be fulfilled through your preferred pharmacy.
Zepbound vials are only available as a cash pay offering, and are not eligible for insurance coverage. Zepbound pens are available as a cash pay offering or through insurance coverage.
If your provider orders a metabolic health test, testing at any Quest location is included in the cost of the Body Program. Or you can purchase an at-home blood collection kit through Ro for $75.
If you live in a state where Quest is not available, we’ll automatically send you an at-home collection kit for no charge.
If for some reason your insurance will not cover the cost of your medication, you’ll have the option to either select from cash pay medication options or you can cancel your Ro Body membership at any time.
