How does it work?
Frequently asked questions
What is the goal of offering this report?
Understanding coverage is a critical step for patients and their providers to determine the most appropriate treatment option, but unfortunately, it’s easier said than done. We are launching this as a free tool designed to empower every patient interested in seeking GLP-1 treatment with the information they and their provider need to understand their options. This is a service we hope to keep free of charge as long as possible.
Will you contact my insurance company?
Yes, to complete your personalized results report, Ro will contact your insurance company by phone to only collect information on your eligibility for coverage – nothing else. We will not submit any request for treatment nor write any prescriptions.
What will the report show?
Your personalized report will detail your insurance coverage for these GLP-1 options: Ozempic pen, Wegovy pen, and Zepbound pen, including whether your policy requires prior authorization.
If your coverage check shows you're not covered, Ro also offers cash-pay options, including the Wegovy pill, Foundayo pill, and Zepbound KwikPen. These options don't require insurance and cost less than half the retail price. Ro is unable to check insurance coverage for Zepbound KwikPen, Foundayo pill, and Wegovy pill at this time.
How can I use the GLP-1 Insurance Coverage Checker?
To check your coverage, simply click ‘check now for free’ to enter your name, insurance card info, and some relevant eligibility information. We’ll take it from there!
Can I share my report with my doctor?
Yes! You’ll receive an easy-to-share link of your report that you can share with your provider to discuss your GLP-1 treatment options.
