Chaunie Brusie, BSN, RN

Chaunie Brusie, BSN, RN, is a health writer and editor from Michigan. She worked as a floor nurse for over six years, gaining experience in long-term care, critical care, and, her personal favorite, labor and delivery. Chaunie maintains her active RN license and utilizes her nursing skills, keeping abreast of medical research and delivering health education as a writer and editor. 

She has experience as an editor for Truly Mama, The FAMILY Magazines of Michiana, Wildsky Media, Medqor, a health trade publication, and for Parents and Health.com, covering health and parenting products. Her work has been published on sites, such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, Glamour, Parents, Yahoo, and many more.

Chaunie earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saginaw Valley State University.  Currently, she owns and operates her own freelance writing business producing health and parenting content and is pursuing a master's degree in public health in order to better deliver health-focused content as a writer.
