Dr. Eli Coleman, PhD

Chair in Sexual Health at the University of Minnesota Medical School

Dr. Eli Coleman, PhD, is the Chair in Sexual Health at the University of Minnesota Medical School. He is a past-president of a number of sexual health organizations such as the World Association for Sexual Health (WAS), the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality, the Society for Sex Therapy and Research, the World Professional Association for Transgender Health and the International Academy of Sex Research. He is the founding and current editor of the International Journal of Sexual Health. He has been a frequent consultant to the World Health Organization (WHO), the Pan American Health Organization (the regional office of WHO), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Dr. Coleman is the recipient of numerous awards in recognition of his lifetime achievement in advancing sexual health.

Dr. Coleman is the founding editor of both the International Journal of Transgenderism and the International Journal of Sexual Health. He is a past-president of the World Association for Sexual Health (WAS) and the International Academy of Sex Research.
