Jessica Sanchez-Alfaro, MD

Doctor of Medicine

Dr. Jessica Sanchez-Alfaro is a board-certified family physician and diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine with over 14 years of experience helping patients achieve sustainable weight loss through personalized, evidence-based care. She earned her medical degree from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Peru and completed her family medicine residency at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Sanchez-Alfaro understands that successful weight management goes beyond willpower—she partners with each patient to address the biology, behavior, and lifestyle factors that influence weight, combining compassionate counseling, behavioral support, and medication management when appropriate. As a telehealth specialist who has conducted thousands of virtual visits, she creates a comfortable, judgment-free environment where patients feel at ease discussing their health goals.

Fluent in both Spanish and English, Dr. Sanchez-Alfaro focuses on meaningful improvements in energy, mobility, and confidence, not just numbers on a scale. Her philosophy: "My goal isn't just to help you lose weight—it's to help you gain freedom, confidence, and the energy to live the life you deserve."
