Latonya is a skilled Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Nurse Educator and Nursing Leader, with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree in Executive Nurse Leadership from Abilene Christian University, and has 20 years of healthcare experience. She is a native of Nashville TN, and earned her Masters in Nursing from Tennessee State University. Latonya has been practicing as a Nurse Practitioner for 10 years, with a focus in disease management and preventative health. She is a trained Respiratory Therapist and a MD Anderson trained Tobacco Treatment Specialist, who is passionate about smoking cessation, cancer prevention, and women’s mental health. She was the first Nurse Practitioner to join an innovative team of clinical, technology, and Medicare experts to shape the future of healthcare for seniors in America, at a tech-enabled start-up practice, in the Bay Area of California. She has a passion for health equity, advocating for the underserved population, and improving access to care through technology, which is what led her to Ro. “As a Nurse Practitioner, I am positioned to be an advocate for one’s health and well-being. I am passionate about advocacy and providing compassionate, patient-centered care. I will always work tirelessly to provide hope for people who are struggling or motivated to take care of their health.” In her free time she enjoys participating in community health events, health coaching, reading self help books, practicing mindfulness & mediation, organizing & decluttering and spending time with family.
