Rachel Coel, MD

Doctor of Medicine

Dr. Rachel Coel is a triple board-certified physician in obesity medicine, sports medicine, and pediatrics. She has been selected as a “Top Doctor” for HONOLULU Magazine every year since 2015.

Dr. Coel enjoys teaching and research and is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Hawai’i John A. Burns School of Medicine. Dr. Coel graduated with High Honors from the University of California at Berkeley and received her MD/PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She completed her pediatrics residency at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Colorado. She is passionate about helping patients of all ages feel good and achieve their health and wellness goals.

In her free time, Dr. Coel enjoys surfing, dark chocolate, and spending time with her family and mischievous goldendoodle.
