Ro is dedicated to empowering patients with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their health. That’s why any patient being treated with compounded GLP-1s can review a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) detailing the testing results associated with their medication. A CoA is a document detailing the results of lab testing conducted on a drug product, confirming the ingredients, potency, sterility, and other key quality measures.

As part of Ro’s commitment to quality, we have extensive quality control and assurance measures for our compounded GLP-1 medications. Ro works with thoroughly vetted compounding partners who source the active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) used in the compounded medication only from FDA-registered manufacturers. Our partners are also subject to federal and state requirements as well as sterile compounding standards set by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP).

As an additional layer of quality control, Ro requires our compounding partners to send each batch of medication to a third-party lab for independent testing. Our team reviews the test results to confirm each batch of compounded medication has passed all of the required tests before any medication is sent to patients. Patients should have access to this information, too, which is why we’re making COAs available to any patient prescribed a compounded GLP-1.

What Ro’s Compounded GLP-1s CoA shares with patients

Ro’s compounded GLP-1 CoAs share in detail the various tests performed on every batch of medication. Each test performed must meet established acceptance criteria based on industry standards and validated testing methods. To help patients better and more easily understand the results, we clearly define what each test is and what it measures.

Any patient prescribed a compounded GLP-1 as part of their Body membership can simply request a copy of the compounded GLP-1 CoA associated with their batch of medication within the MyRo app. Ro’s dedication to quality stretches through every part of a patient’s journey – from their online experience to their treatment – that’s why we made it easy for patients to confirm the quality of their compounded GLP-1 medication with a CoA.
