About the test
Wonder what’s causing your ED? Finding the answers starts here
From high cholesterol to low testosterone, there’s a number of reasons a person may be dealing with ED. Testing is the only way to start getting to the heart of the issue.
3 tests in 1
This test will give you insights into three common causes of ED. By checking for markers of diabetes, high cholesterol, and low testosterone, you could have a better sense of what might be causing your ED. These tests alone can cost $49 each from other online providers, but we offer one test panel that includes all three for one low price.
Expert guidance
Once you've performed the test and gotten your results, you can set up a consultation with a Ro-affiliated provider to discuss actionable next steps.
Get to the root of the problem
Sure, there are medications to help you perform in bed. But now you can take steps to treat the cause of your ED, as well.
What does the ED Diagnostic Test measure?
Lipid Panel
A lipid panel measures your total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and triglycerides. These levels can help indicate if you have heart or blood vessel disease, which can cause decreased blood flow to the penis.Hemoglobin A1c
Hemoglobin A1c levels indicate the body's ability to control glucose over a few months and could help determine if you have diabetes or prediabetes. Diabetes can impact ED by causing nerve damage and blood vessel damage.Total Testosterone
Total testosterone levels measure the amount of both free testosterone and testosterone attached to proteins. Having low testosterone levels can be a cause of ED, as well as low libido and penile numbness. Please note that a diagnosis of low testosterone requires additional testing.

Your questions answered
The ED Diagnostic Test is a simple blood test that will help men with erectile dysfunction (ED) get a deeper look at some of the common underlying root causes for their ED.
Men might ask themselves how to test for erectile dysfunction (ED). The medical answer is that you don’t need a medical test to diagnose ED. ED is usually diagnosed based on your symptoms, which is the inability to get or keep an erection long enough for satisfying sex. However, because ED could be a sign of a more serious medical condition, your healthcare provider might order tests to determine if there is a root cause for ED. The ED Diagnostic Test looks further behind the symptoms and helps better understand some of the common underlying root causes for ED and the potential risk factors.
The ED Diagnostic Test includes three tests—a lipid panel (includes your total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and triglycerides), a hemoglobin A1c test, and one measurement of total testosterone. These three tests take a deeper look for common causes of ED, which can also impact your overall health. Please note that if you receive a low total testosterone level reading through this ED Diagnostic Test, we recommend you take our Testosterone Evaluation Test.
This test is focused on surfacing important markers of sexual and cardiovascular health that can be furthered discussed with a licensed Ro-affiliated provider in a synchronous consultation. Please note that if you receive a low total testosterone level reading through this ED Diagnostic Test, we recommend you take our Testosterone Evaluation Test, which can be used to determine if you have low testosterone.
A healthy erection requires robust blood flow throughout the body. During sexual arousal, an erection occurs when the muscles of the penis relax, blood flows into special erectile chambers, and the penis becomes rigid. If you have erectile dysfunction it could be related to medical conditions that impair blood circulation. These include conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, and atherosclerosis (clogged arteries).
In line with 2018 American Urological Association (AUA) guidelines, the three markers we test for will provide additional information on common underlying diseases that are connected to ED: testosterone deficiency, diabetes mellitus, and hyperlipidemia as a risk factor for cardiovascular disease.
