Does Saxenda come with needles?

No, a Saxenda prescription does not come with needles. Depending on which state you live in, you’ll either need a separate prescription for disposable needles for your daily injection, or you might be able to buy the needles online without a prescription. Speak with your healthcare provider about how to get the needles required for administering your medication.

Your Saxenda medication will come in a pen-like injector with a small window that you will use to adjust the pen to your prescribed dose. Each time you give yourself your injection, you’ll need to attach a new needle by pulling off the paper tab, pushing the needle straight onto the pen, and twisting it until it is tight.
