Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) is a health condition many people are worried about as they or a loved one gets older. It is a brain condition and affects memory, thought processes and the level of independence in daily life, and the number of Americans living with the disease is growing fast — 6.5 million people in the US over age 65 are living with Alzheimer’s in 2022. Symptoms may start slowly and subtly, but they usually get worse over time. There’s currently no cure for Alzheimer’s disease, but there are medications to treat AD symptoms.
